TextExpander is a fantastic app from Smile Software. It enables you to create textual shortcuts which are automatically expanded when typed. For example you could associate:

    afaik = “as far as I know”

or...

    sig = “Yours Sincerely, Craig”

Next time you type ‘sig’ it will auto expand to the above. There are loads of uses for this described on their website http://smilesoftware.com/TextExpander

iThoughts is integrated with TextExpander which means that those shortcut expansions will happen when entering text into topics and notes. However, before it will work, it needs to be enabled in both apps.

On the iPhone, you need to open the iThoughts section in the Settings App and set ‘TextExpander’ to ON.

...then open the TextExpander App and enable ‘Share Snippets’ in the config section
